The simple answer is No. Unlike other membership organisations and accrediting bodies who do ‘ tick the box’ certification and accreditation for the money, we believe that standards need to be created and upheld that give the public confidence in us all as professionals We are experts in the fields of NLP, Hypnosis and Coaching and our experience has shown us that there are deteriorating standards and people taking advantage of an unregulated industry claiming that they are accredited when the process that they went through was nothing more than a paper exercise. So, if you meet our membership criteria you know that you truly are a leading professional in your field.

Again the simple answer is No. We are an inclusive organisation and recognise that there are many different pathways and courses that people can attend so all certificates are considered on an individual basis. We do have certification standards, which we believe are the minimum standards that a professional should achieve.

There has been a concerning movement, by training providers, towards the supply of extremely short courses and online courses which are just self-study, as this cuts their costs and maximises their profits.
Whilst online study is an effective way to gain knowledge; NLP, Coaching and Hypnosis are experiential and so need a human element where techniques are explained and practiced with real people, whether face to face or online. Would you trust a heart surgeon who has learnt just from videos and has not received feedback from a trainer or practiced in supervised, live conditions?
So, it is a question of conducting due diligence before you spend your money on training so that you know that you are obtaining certification from a

If you wish to practice NLP, Coaching or Hypnotherapy as a Professional and belong to the IRNCH, please do your own due diligence before investing money in your training, to ensure that you are obtaining certification from a bona fide Trainer (for Practitioner or Master Practitioner training) or Master Trainer (for Trainer’s Training), which will be recognised by the IRNCH. If you are in any doubt, please check with us before investing in your training.

We have strict joining criteria, however there may be ways we can help, give us a call should this be a concern.

This has been a persistent problem within the unregulated industries of NLP, Hypnotherapy and Coaching, and a potential minefield for members of the public, with lots of training providers, practitioners and membership organisations confusing the two terms sometimes deliberately for their own means and other times through ignorance of the difference.

Here at the IRNCH we believe in transparency, honesty, and leadership through professional principles, so we are establishing a difference in these terms for you, right now.

Certification and Accreditation are both terms connected with achieving a certain standard, but they differ in terms of purpose.

Certification typically refers to a process where an individual, company or organisation is evaluated against a predetermined standard and is often achieved through training, education, or assessment. The assessment is usually only to the standard of the assessing company or organisation, and if achieved, they award the individual or organisation with their certificate. This certificate may not be recognised by anyone other than the certifying company or organisation. Certification usually means that a standard of knowledge has been achieved.

Accreditation, on the other hand, is a formal recognition process in which an individual program, or organisation is evaluated by an accrediting body against established standards to determine if it meets certain quality and performance criteria. Once Accredited there will be periodic reviews and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards, and accreditation status may be used to signal trustworthiness, reliability, and accountability to others such as clients, and regulatory agencies.

Gaining a credible Certification can be seen as being a starting point for an NLP Practitioner, a Coach, a Hypnotherapist, or a Trainer. Giving them the knowledge to start to practice.

Gaining Accreditation can be seen as having been assessed for a ‘licence of fitness to practice’ and a commitment to standards and continued professional development.

As an example of the confusion over this issue, a lot of NLP and Hypnotherapy training companies say that they are ‘accredited’ to the ABNLP and ABH. The ABNLP and ABH does not have an accreditation process, it just recognises Trainer members’ certificates that they have endorsed so it is really an ‘affiliation’ rather than an accreditation and the trainers just train their ‘brand’ of NLP or Hypnotherapy. There is no real world practical examination of skill level to accredit the member.

Accreditation is all about practical application and reaching a level of competence and expertise validated by an external source.

We believe that all NLP, Hypnotherapy and Coach trainers and practitioners should reach an accredited level as a licence to practice.
So, if you wish to be accredited by the IRNCH you will first need to become a certified member and then submit the evidence requested on the Accreditation Application form. The evidence requested is all naturally occurring in your day-to-day business.
If the evidence submitted does not fulfil our criteria, we will give you feedback on what needs to be done and you will have 4 weeks to submit further evidence without any further payment.

A thorough, professional, and independent review by training and evaluation experts giving:

Blended learning is an educational approach that combines approaches, such as, traditional face-to-face instruction with online learning activities.
It integrates various learning modalities, such as in-person lectures, group discussions, hands-on activities, and digital resources like videos, quizzes, and interactive modules.

This hybrid approach allows learners to have more flexibility in their studies, as they can access content and participate in discussions remotely while still benefiting from the guidance and interaction provided in traditional classroom settings.
Blended learning aims to enhance the learning experience by leveraging the strengths of both traditional and online learning methods, catering to diverse learning styles and preferences.

Virtual learning refers to a mode of learning delivered entirely through digital platforms, usually over the internet. It encompasses a wide range of educational activities conducted remotely, including online classes, virtual lectures, interactive simulations, and digital assessments.

Virtual learning environments often feature tools such as video conferencing, discussion forums, multimedia presentations, and learning management systems to facilitate engagement and collaboration among students and instructors.
This approach enables learners to access educational content from anywhere with an internet connection, offering flexibility in terms of time and location.
Virtual learning has become increasingly popular, especially in situations where in-person instruction is not feasible or convenient, allowing individuals to pursue education and training opportunities remotely.
